You can do this at home!  For the next few weeks, choose a task that you perform 2-5 times/day. Can you do it mindfully? Ask yourself:
Where am I? Is my attention on how I am doing what I am doing, or am I mentally already doing the next chore?
Am I working harder/faster than I need to? Moving faster than necessary tells our body-mind that there is something amiss and increases stress; using more effort than is appropriate wastes energy we’d rather have for more pleasurable activities.
How can I become aware of myself and my task and the space around me? That simple shift decreases heart rate, lowers blood pressure, and deepens/eases breathing. 
Wake up and notice what happens!
